Installing your new fence is an easy and rewarding way to save big money. Follow these 5 easy steps and you are well on your way.

Determine the line of the glass and using a pencil or chalk line mark out the centerline of glass.

Mark out each piece of glass (allowing for gaps between glass sheets) then mark the centre of the mini posts. Normally the mini posts are located ¼ in from end of the glass. E.g., 1400 wide glass divide 4 = 350mm.

Gate measurement is 920mm in between glass panel to glass panel to glass panel. It is important to get this measurement accurate.

Where you have marked the centre lines for mini posts you need to core drill a hole into the concrete 75mm dia x approx 100mm deep. No less. Core drilling can be done be concut or similar contractor, see yellow pages in your area for prices.

Once the cores have been drilled and removed dry out holes.

Turning the glass upside down onto a surface that will not damage the glass, bolt the mini posts to the bottom of the glass, making sure you use rubber sleeves in the holes to form a barrier between the bolt & glass and nylon packers underneath.

Using a block of timber at approx the height you require under the fence place each end:

  • Place the glass into the holes and secure with wedges.
  • Drawings level the glass by packing under the timber blocks.
  • Once you have secured and leveled this piece of glass you can start the next piece following the same process.

To glue the mini posts. We recommend you use an epoxy resin R.180 H.180 hardener fiber glass international or similar. Please read manufactures instructions carefully.

Note: When using epoxy be very careful not to spill any, it is very hard to clean off tiles etc. Acetone may be used.
