We have had a number enquiries from people who have bought cheap mini posts from other sources who do not supply glass.

The unlucky buyer then comes to us to purchase glass and solve their certification problems.

These unscrupulous sellers do not have Engineering Certification for the product.

In many cases they claim the product is stainless steel when in fact it is Nickel coated mild steel or inferior 304 stainless. Severe rust is the result.

Other suppliers mini posts in some cases may not fit our glass.

We will not provide Engineers Certification for frameless fencing systems that were NOT supplied by us.

Please be aware that it is in your best interests to purchase the entire fence from the same supplier.

21/10/11 - WHY YOU "DON'T" BUY A GLASS POOL FENCE FROM THE BIG HARDWARE RETAILERS

Yesterday (18th Oct) we received a phone call from a lady asking if we sold glass gate hinges and latches separately.

Later she came into our reception with a request to buy those hinges and a latch for a glass gate, she lugged the 21kg glass gate in with her.

We asked her why she didn't buy the hinges and latch where she purchased the glass gate. Her reply was that her large hardware retailer had no stock. It seems their range is extremely limited. The large hardware retailers usually have a corner down the back and very little or no expertise at point of sale.

Most glass suppliers can provide you with a glazing certificate to say that the glass meets Australian Standards but this DOES NOT MEAN the glass they supply to you is “FIT FOR PURPOSE”!

Semi Frameless Fence
6mm and 8mm glass IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE for semi frameless glass fencing! Our engineers tell us that 10mm toughened glass up to 1.6metres in length is the maximum. 10mm is 20% more glass than 8mm.

Frameless Glass Fence
10mm glass IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE for Frameless Glass fencing! Our engineers tell us that 12mm toughened glass up to 1.8metres in length is the maximum span. 12mm glass is 17% more glass than 10mm.

We too could supply you with 6mm or 8mm glass but we are not in the business of putting you or your children’s safety at risk to compete with people supplying a vastly inferior product.
